Do not let the "flow of traffic" persuade you to exceed the speed limit. The recommended maximum speed limit for all University vehicles is 65 MPH or the posted speed limit (whichever is lower). Other than using the passing lane on a 2-way highway, University vehicle operators should never exceed the posted speed limits.

Safety Inspection Policy
Effective November 25, 2002, all University
of Nebraska-Lincoln owned and licensed motor vehicles operated
on public routes must undergo an annual vehicle safety inspection,
with the exception of current year vehicles. Current year
vehicles are subject to this policy 12-months following acquisition.

The University of Nebraska - Lincoln Large Passenger-Van policy
requires all drivers of large passenger-vans to be at least
21-years old, possess a valid Nebraska drivers license, and
must have taken and passed the driver training program offered
by the University of Nebraska - Lincoln.

University vehicles may be parked on campus in area 10 parking
lots.
Do not park in:
- Handicap parking spaces
- Reserved parking spaces
- Loading and unloading zones (except to load and unload)
- On sidewalks (Special Permit Required)
- Posted "No Parking" zones (Including Fire
Lanes)
- Pedestrian crosswalks
- Construction sites and lots
- Barricaded or closed lots and streets
- Any other area not specifically marked as a parking
space
Note: When parking in a
metered space or parking garage, the parking fee must be paid.
Citations for all parking and traffic violations will be the
personal responsibility of the driver.
This includes parking tickets received while parking on the
UNL campus.

Do drive carefully, safely and courteously.
Do not smoke in any University vehicle.

Seat belt use is required for the driver and all passengers
in all State-owned vehicles as per University of Nebraska
policy.

the mileage reimbursement rate is 50.5 cents per mile.
